3 Months of Sweet, Glorious Paternity Leave

And now you can add three-months paternity leave to what makes MKG special.
It’s so very…progressive! And necessary! And I’m honored to be the very first individual to take the company up on this incredible benefit and take advantage of this precious time with my child.
And not just time with my new child: with my family. My wife needs my support. Our first child needs my support. Even my Old English Bulldog Winston (who is in for a shock when the second baby arrives) needs my support. Having a newborn is stressful enough, but without the proper support in place, it can quickly spiral to chaos.
As of a year ago, according to NPR, of all the countries in the United Nations, only a few South Pacific island nations, Suriname, New Guinea and the United States do not have a national paid parental leave law in place. This is unacceptable.
I’m proud that my employer offers this amazing benefit to their employees, and I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to grow the relationship with my new child, support my wife and son, and enjoy every moment.
And also give Winston the snuggles he will be demanding.
