Are you someone that enjoys connecting data, paid digital media and SEO to drive stronger results? MKG is looking for a Digital Marketing Expert to join our team with a background that includes first-hand experience working in SEO, digital paid ads, and analytics to round out our team circles. You’ll work on a team directly with subject matter experts (SMEs) and an account director, focusing on performance goals set with the SMEs and clients to drive results through a digital marketing funnel lens and find opportunities to streamline efforts.

Job Purpose

Connect & Collaborate

Partner directly with SEO, Paid Digital Media, and Analytic SMEs on larger accounts to achieve client goals and identify opportunities to connect or optimize efforts

Support

Own QA and account audits and provide coverage for SME out of office on your accounts

Expert

Able to own SEO, PPC, or analytics for smaller accounts/projects

Key Skills Required

6+ years in digital marketing

  • Direct experience working in SEO & PPC
  • Client experience should include working in B2B with a demand gen sales funnel
  • Experience presenting data driven results and recommendations to clients, including understanding how to take client goals and create data based KPIs to achieve these
  • Comfortable working independently, but also looking for a team to build success with and confident sharing ideas and opportunities

SEO experience

Experience using SEO platforms such as SEMRush, Sitebulb, etc for technical audits, keyword research, and competitor analysis. You’ll need to be able to do a first pass prioritizing technical issues and opportunities. You’ll also be doing keyword research and on-page for technical B2B clients, so will need to have experience working with complex brands and emerging spaces.

Comfort running B2B paid ads in Google, Microsoft, Facebook, and LinkedIn. Opportunities aren’t limited to these channels, but these are foundational experiences needed. Comfortable managing complex budgets, performing keyword research, light ad copy writing for paid text ads, and strong attention to detail for QA.

Analytics

We currently use NinjaCat as our reporting platform (but are open to training). Looking for experience using Google Analytics and Adobe Analytics to pull data, build dashboards, and setup tracking. Experience in Hubspot, Salesforce, Drift, etc are nice to have but not required.

Success is defined as...

Building a partnership with your team of SMEs to achieve strategic goals and meet key performance indicators through paid media, technical and content focused SEO, and analytics with complex B2B brands. This will include running independent efforts aligned with these goals, providing OOO coverage, and being client facing. This role succeeds not just from understanding clients and their goals, but also their team and how to work seamlessly between SEO, PPC, and Analytics.
