From a collection of advertiser accounts in our Master Client Center (MCC) we saw the following Google Ads benchmarks in August 2017 for the Tech, Healthcare, and Travel Verticals.
Tech Vertical
Google Ads Display
While CTR and CPC have trended down month over month, conversion rate has seen a lift. Specifically for the tech vertical, this is a very common August trend as the summer generally performs lower than spring and fall months.

Google Ads Search
Search is a different story than display. Mostly because search impressions are down as a whole. Less people are searching for tech solutions, but those who are, are more likely to take action. Less impressions, means more competition which also explains the higher CPC.

Healthcare Vertical
Healthcare is an always on vertical with no major changes month over month. We may see a shift come January and February as people generally make healthcare changes at this time. We'll circle back on this potential trend as the new year approaches.

No surprises. Summer months show better CPCs, higher CTRs, and better Conversion Rates. As more people travel during the warm months while school is out and the weather is good.
